Are You A Drum Educator?

If so, then you definitely work with trauma survivors!

->Even before the pandemic, systematic investigations in the United States showed 223.4 million adults have suffered from a traumatic event at least once (Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 2016).

->Furthermore, nearly 35 million children have experienced childhood trauma (National Survey of Children’s Health, 2011/2012).

->Even more portentous, these numbers do not account for the millions suffering from traumatic experiences that go unreported and untreated or the new cases arising as a natural consequence of the unprecedented pandemic lockdown.

The pervasiveness of trauma has long-term and far-reaching health-related emotional, psychological, behavioral, and social implications, even if its impact does not show up for years to come.

Trauma exposure is now considered one of the dominant global healthcare crises of the 21st century!
